Historic Visayas - where the past blends with the present, a place steeped in history yet in step with modern life. In these islands, there are Knowledge for Development Centers (KDCs) established in partnership with local universities and the World Bank.

The World Bank Knowledge for Development Center (WB-KDC) in Dumaguete City, known as the City of Gentle People is located in Silliman University Main Library where it offers an extensive collection of development publications and World Bank project documents to people in the academe, researchers, NGOs, media, government agencies and the business sector.

Open to the public, the SU-KDC offers easy access to a wealth of information through the Internet and a diverse collection of World Bank publications and other special books and documents both in the print and non-print formats. The SU-KDC also offers the following services for free:
