Established on September 8, 2003 upon the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement by Mr. Ronald J. Post, Public Affairs Officer of the United States Embassy, Manila and Silliman University President Dr. Agustin A. Pulido, the American Studies Resource Center (ASRC) in Silliman University provides a wide variety of books, periodicals, CD-ROMs, DVDs, VCDs, VHS tapes, electronic journals and other materials for those interested in studies and issues related to the United States. It also co-sponsors seminars, lectures, fora, and other activities on American studies. It is the only ASRC in Region VII hosted by an academic institution.
