SILLIMANIANA SECTION
Location: 1st floor, southern portion, as one enters the building.
Materials that have something to do with Silliman University as collected and accumulated through the years comprise the Sillimaniana Collection.
Resources: Materials in the collection include:
(1) University publications such as the Silliman Truth, Silliman Journal, Sands and Coral, Weekly Sillimanian, University Catalogues, handbooks, manuals, brochures, etc.
(2) Faculty/Staff publications like syllabi, published articles and researches.
(3) College/departments publications.
(4) Various certificates of recognition and appreciation.
(5) Various plaques and trophies awarded to Silliman University.
(6) Portraits of the past and present presidents including Dr. Horace Brinsmade Silliman (who donated $10,000 to start an industrial school for boys, now Silliman University).
(7) Collection of photos/pictures during the early years up to the present which are kept in albums.
(8) Various mounted and framed pictures.
(9) Scrapbooks, mementos, etc.
(10) Materials on Silliman University, faculty, staff, students, alumni, and friends.Policies:
(1) The Sillimaniana Collection is open to all bonafide personnel/employees and students of Silliman University.
(2) Students are to present their validated ID cards with barcode labels each time they use the Sillimaniana materials.
(3) The Sillimaniana materials are to be used within the Collection area only.
(4) Photocopying of Sillimaniana materials is generally not allowed except in some special cases.
(5) Studying and group meetings/discussions are not allowed in the Sillimaniana Collection area.
